All I Want 6 (Dean X Reader)

Did you hear him right? "What?" You asked in disbelief. Dean laced his fingers with yours. "I said I'm done hunting, I'm done." It took him a moment to say those words, but once he did, the weight of the world was gone. It was like he could finally see clearly.

"R-really?"

"Really." Dean nodded and wrapped an arm around you, pulling you close. "You can live with me if you want." You offered. "I mean it. I would love it if you were here." You explained with a faint blush. Dean's smile was assuring, he took brought your fingers up to his mouth and placed a soft kiss on them. "I'd love to."

Dean would always remember the smile on your face. The way your eyes sparkled, your feet bounced in excitement...

And the way you kissed him.

The ex-hunter was in shock for a few moments but eventually placed his hands on your hips, your arms wrapping around his neck. Your moment was cut short when Mary padded out of her room, her curls in disarrangement, rubbing at her eyes. "Momma, I want Dean to come home." She said, crawling into your lap, still half asleep and not noticing the man who chuckled at her tired actions.

You smiled softly and held her firmly. "He'll be home soon." You stated with a smile. "Yes, but I wan-" She was fast asleep before she could even finish her sentence. Dean grinned at knowing how much you and Mary cared for him. "I'll take her back to bed." He said, reaching for her. You stood up with Mary still in your arm waving him off. "Oh no no no, you stay on the couch, find a movie, I'll put Mary to bed."

Dean groaned, but grabbed the remote with a huff, flipping through the channels. You smiled fondly, shaking your head in amusement.

Once Mary was tucked back into bed, it hit you like a brick that you kissed Dean. Was it wrong that it felt so right? You walked back downstairs to find Dean sitting up on the couch, the remote off to the side, the dim lights from the TV flickering at his face. "What'd you pick?" You asked, plopping down next to him. "Jurassic Park." He smirked, laughing at the way you squealed in delight.

When not on the road, you, Sam, and Dean would either be doing research or watching crappy TV. Jurassic Park was the movie that always seemed to be on. At first you all despise the repetitive dinosaur roars, but soon enough all of you would curl up on the floor and talk along with the actors.

Throughout the movie, neither of you mentioned the kiss, but you found yourself leaning into him, your eyes growing heavy with sleep. Maybe it was your imagination, but you could have sworn you felt a pair of lips on your head.

"Momma, I'm hungry." Mary complained, stomping her foot in annoyance. Opening your eyes, body on autopilot, you got up to get her some cereal, but found that you couldn't move. Confused, you looked down to see Dean's arm wrapped around your waist. "Morning Dean." Mary greeted.

You watched as realization dawned on her face and suddenly, Dean woke up to tiny hands in his face. "Dean!" She yelled happily, wedging herself between Dean's arm so he had no choice but to wrap it around Mary as well. "Hey sunshine." Dean smiled. "You came back for us." Mary pointed out, snuggling close to Dean, her hands grabbing a hold of his shirt.

"i promised didn't I?" Dean replied, kissing her hair. "Mhmm." Your four year old responded, falling asleep again. You couldn't help the small giggle that escaped your mouth. "Maybe we should go back to sleep for a while." You suggested, getting a yawn in reply. "Good idea."

You shifted your body and laid your head back down on Dean's chest, thankful to hear the steady beat of his heart. He was alive, safe, and maybe even happy.
